Israel and Hamas have agreed to pause fighting in Gaza and release some hostages and prisoners in an agreement that was first put forward by President Donald Trump.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan says Turkey will “hopefully” take part in a task force “that will monitor the implementation of the (ceasefire) agreement on the ground.”
Erdogan did not provide further details Thursday.
