Nick Reiner formally charged with murdering his parents, Rob Reiner and Michele Singer

Nick Reiner is expected to appear in court Wednesday as he faces first-degree murder charges in the killings of his father and mother, Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner, who were found stabbed to death at their Brentwood home Sunday. The Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office will review Nick's background for mental illness and weigh the death penalty. Rob Reiner was known for his role as "Meathead" in "All in the Family,” and his directorial success with "When Harry Met Sally."
