A storm-torn American flag from the WWE building tangled in power lines in Stamford, causing outages that affected thousands of Eversource customers.
According to Eversource's outage map, there were more than 4,000 outages in Greenwich and 2,700 in Stamford around 6 p.m. Sunday. About 45 minutes later, that number had dropped to 190 and 210, respectively, according to Eversource.
